What would you do if this were your child? Who would or could you turn to? Who really
cares? Our hearts overflow with happiness for the families that we have helped and are making progress, but we are deeply saddened because we know there are so many others that need all of us to help.

Faith
In 2001 we felt the need to help one of our friends whose
child was fighting and battling with cancer. Missing work to
be with their child was causing a loss of income; we learned
very quickly we'd have to form a non-profit charity - This
Horse Is Silent Cares was organized. Genuine Billy Cook
Saddles, Bear Hollow Stables & Cabins, Winner Circle,
Watson Pools, Sundowner Trailers Centers, and The Trail
Rider Magazine were our first supporters. The Trail Rider
Magazine helped get the word out about This Cares... by
publishing articles and listing dates of our trail rides. From
the donations, our supporters and the riders that attend our
scheduled events and come to help us HELP THE
CHILDREN, This Cares... organization would not be what it
is today. Thanks to All and God Bless.

Hope
We must emphasize that our efforts started with our first
trail ride at Natchez Trace State Park complete with a live
auction & entertainment. We raised $10,000 at our first
event. Blessings poured in with trail riders from all over the
country. As of today we have so many special people from AL,
LA, GA, KY, FL, MS, & TN that have not missed a trail ride
for the last eight years. God Bless Y'all.

Prayer
We would like all of you to pray for these very special
families. They have been through so much and a lot of these
families have so much more to go through. A lot of you that
have been at one of our events have had the chance to get to
know these children. We've had the opportunity to watch them
play- rest and take a short break- then be as fast as they can
again- ALWAYS WITH A SMILE. We watch them and ask how they are
and they all are so happy and will tell you they are doing
fine; we are just making their lives a little easier with your
help and prayers.
For it is sanctified by the
word of God and prayers. 1 Timothy 4:5
Thanks so much to the owners and
staff at East Fork Stables in Jamestown, TN for the last four
years. Everyone enjoyed the cooking , the exquisite mountain
top views & the camaraderie of meeting with both old and
new friends.
At Circle E Stables last year we
are appreciative of being able to have a live auction; also we
got to spend some time with new friends.
Woodbury,TN was a fund
raising event put on by local people in which riders
came from all around with big hearts to help raise funds to
benefit This Cares... in memory of a special child.
Support
This Cares couldn't do what it does for these people in need
without the help of our fabulous supporters! Thank you for all
