Chance West
When
you hear Chance West speak, what you hear is no more than what
he is: a southern born country boy raised in Alabama. When you
hear him sing, it's the same story. For when Chance West sings,
what comes out is the pure heartbreak and joy of country music,
nurtured by a love of the sound and the stories told through the
songs. This country boy captures the timeless essence of country
music and delivers it with an emotional depth that is so powerful
that with just one listen you will also be a believer. Learning
to play the guitar at an early age, imitating the country greats
such as George Jones, Conway Twitty, and George Straight, he knew
music was and would continue to be a major part of his life.
With role models like Hank Williams, Earl Thomas Conley, Loretta
Lynn and Alan Jackson, it was inevitable that Chance would begin
writing his own songs. The inspiration is never lacking when you
play music from the afore mentioned. He set out to write songs
which engrossed the epitome of country music. He wrote about drinking,
cheating and lying. All of the things that a great country song
is suppose to be about. Keeping the basic, rooted sound of country
music while adding his own southern flair. A combination that
has won the hearts of many. Chance has played his music from Alabama
to Arkansas. At local festivals, bar rooms, lounges, schools and
even major casinos. With his own following and fan base he is
sure to be one of country music's next legends.
Therefore, it was no shock to his friends and family when he decided
to move to Nashville to pursue a career in country music. After
two years in Nashville, Chance has just completed his debut album.
Which contains ten heartfelt songs penned by him. Each one in
some way a reflection of memories from his life. In this collection
of works you'll find something for everyone. Songs about loving,
losing and the strength of family. There is no way you can listen
to this c.d. and not long for more. His is a voice that will captivate
your heart. And his lyrics will clinch your soul. This is what
country music is all about. Using a God given talent to touch
the lives of millions. And talent sums up Chance West in one word.
Chance became involved with T.H.I.S. Cares in June of 2005 after
attending the Jamestown, TN. ride. Being a father himself, he
was touched deeply by the children and their families. He has
since been adopted by the T.H.I.S. Cares organization and is their
"poster" artist. It is one of his main goals to get
this organization out to the public. He does so at all his shows
and he also includes all T.H.I.S. Cares materials in ALL packages
mailed out on his behalf. He sends a heartfelt greeting to all
who read this and hopes your able to make one of the shows.
